Fall semester is officially over. Grades are in. While nearly all improved over the semester, some students did not seem to want to do everything in their power to maximize their learning or performance, which is baffling. What to do?
It now the "home stretch" to winter break. Keep up with your reading and note-taking so that life will include some rest over break, otherwise you will need to work and catch-up! The French Revolution and the Age of Napoleon are critical to our study of Europe and the world!
It is A LOT of information... the key is to stay on top of your reading and note-taking, reviewing a little each day from the recent past lessons, organizing the info in a way that makes sense for you (if you don't have a set way, then ask or follow the SPRITE idea)... once you get into a flow, then things get more managable! Learning how to learn and study is a HUGE thing in this class!
You are all growing immensely week by week, you will be fine! Oh, by the way, Chapter 16 is now available! Check the calendar and posted s So the 1st quarter is almost over and blog posting is nearly "zero." It would be interesting to hear what students are thinking, what their concerns are, if they are "getting it" and if they believe they are learning. Maybe I should REQUIRE Them to post?
I wonder who actually is determined to "conquer" the material of this class and determined enough to "battle" to achieve what they hope too?
How much do you know about Europe and its history? Let's start with geography. Follow the link, take the quiz and report back on how you did.
European Geography Quiz I hope you have a great year! Make each day your masterpiece! What are some of your expectations?
